Why should children take part in the Young Buds Award?
Modern education systems around the world often fail to prioritize practical life skills, leaving children unprepared for independence. As a result, when they enter the world, they find themselves facing significant gaps in their ability to care for themselves. The COVID-19 pandemic also had a profound impact on children's development, experiences. Many young learners found themselves isolated, missing out on crucial social interactions and hands-on learning. The group recognized an urgent need to address these gaps and empower the next generation with the tools and resilience to navigate an increasingly complex world.
